Dr. Jim McIntyre joined White Ivie Pet Hospital in the fall of 2005 with 35 years experience as a veterinarian. He brings a unique blend of personal warmth and expertise and is respected by his veterinary colleagues as one of the best general practice surgeons on the Peninsula. His special interests are dermatology, orthopedics, dentistry, surgery, and feline medicine. He looks forward to new challenges and new friends of both the two and four leg varieties.
He and his wife live on the Peninsula. His interests outside of work are fly fishing, hiking, gardening, and cooking. His current pets are two very spoiled, indoor cats and a small feral colony that seems to have settled into the back yard. His family includes two grown children and one grandson, and he is proud of them all!
