Dr. Lina McCain was excited to join White Ivie Hospital in the spring of 2006. She graduated from UC Davis in 1993. Since then, she practiced near Thousand Oaks, CA as well as in Palo Alto and Redwood City. In 2005, Dr. McCain received her Certificate of Veterinary Acupuncture from the highly regarded Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine (where she currently teaches veterinary acupuncture) and is studying veterinary herbology. She is a skilled clinician in traditional western medicine and surgery. She also takes pride in being able to offer complimentary and alternative medicine where appropriate.
Dr. McCain's personal interests include trail running, mountain biking, and bee keeping. She is quite an accomplished marathon runner, and having spent four years in Costa Rica, she is also a very good salsa dancer. She is fluent in Spanish.
